Balcones Drive

Another piece of history I found while on a bike ride. This home is located off of Balcones Drive and sits on .32 acres just west of Camp Mabry. I don’t have much information as of yet but I’m there first thing in the morning. I’d love to get someone into this one so let’s go!

So I have some bad news on this little jewel. Called the broker to set up a showing and they already have a contract without having listed the property on MLS. The family is requesting that the agent refrains from showing the home.

This is a major issue these days with the market being so hot. I just completed the first course in my Graduate Real Estate designation and the consensus from the board of realtors is that the brokers that engage in this practice are not working in the best interests of their sellers.

You just have to ask yourself one question. Can you achieve a higher price by limiting the number of eyes on a property? Absolutely not! I was referred an article in the Dallas Morning news that says as much. They mentioned lawsuits by angry sellers that felt short changed when their neighbors received higher selling prices. Oh well. I’m just mad that I didn’t get in to see the property.
